A week late simply because we couldn’t find enough tunes last week to fill an hour. What’s that about?
Anyway, we’ll make up for it this week with picks from the last three. Johnny Marr has an LP coming out soon and the new double-A single we like, though one track does remind us of the time Brian May was shilling for Ford Transits. Jister picks up from the seminal Normal Island with new track Levelling Up which goes extremely well with something off the new collaboration between Aesop Rock and Blockhead. The jury is still out for us on the new Idles album. We did think that the last one might be their pinnacle. Undecided on that so far, but we include a track here while we make up our minds. And we close with a version of Shed 7’s Chasing Rainbows. It really has been 25 years since it came out.
