This could scarcely be more thrilling. A follow-up to their 2016 album The Girl In The Glass Case from The Senior Service.
King Cobra is a soundtrack-inspired wonderland of brass and hammond organ led instrumentalism. On Damaged Goods, they are very much part of that Medway scene the label seeks to promote – CTMF probably being the most prolific exponents – of vintage instruments (and performers, often as not) playing bang up to date tunes.
As you work through the tracks on the album, the scenes from non-existent movies are planted in your head, convincing you that they not only do exist but that you’ve also seen them and enjoyed them. Quite a party trick.
