Chaplin’s The Great Dictator is one of the great films. That his barber’s speech is still relevant today is rather sickening, but here we are.
Black Sedan is a collective of one, Mark Hodkinson corralling whomsoever he requires to make these records. The Chaplin estate gave full backing for this moving piece with vocals from Kellie While. While it’s obviously awful to have to reiterate that Nazis are bad people, this is done with care and tact leaving the anger to Chaplin.
