Rodney Cromwell “makes music on old synths, kids toys and guitars from Argos” and is “Catford’s only exponent of indie pound-shop synthpop.” We’re listening…

Cromwell’s debut album, Age Of Anxiety, drew on personal demons while the new EP Rodney’s English Disco is more a state-of-things approach to writing songs of woe. Lead single Comrades is “a robotic turbocharged rebel song for the twitter generation”. It also happens to be bloody good.

Rodney’s English Disco is out on May 25. You can get the single of Comrades here. Follow @robot_rocker
