Terni five-piece Japan Suicide readied their new album Santa Sangre (Saint Blood? We didn’t do Italian) in time for them to have their feet up for the holidays.

In Circle, taken from the LP, it’s fuzzy guitars and driving bass with lyrics inspired by the novel The Circle by David Eggers while the video, directed by Francesco Brunotti, takes elements of The Wicker Man and all weave together in a swirl of dystopia.
The album “was inspired by Alejandro Jodorowsky’s movie and Roberto BolaƱo’s novel ‘2666’, all the while moving from echoes of British post-punk to a sound replete with more psychedelic and shoegaze textures,” says frontman Stefano Bellerba.

Santa Sangre is out on February 14 with a vinyl release to follow if the crowdfund works. Follow @JapanSuicideIT
