Minneapolis trio Autumn have been around since the mid-1990s with their brand of what can only be described as deathrock. And their new single portends a new LP.
There are immediate echoes of Siouxsie, Sisters Of Mercy and plenty else beside as the sounds swell, ebb and flow. “This release is about transition, both for the band’s sound as well as our personal lives; love, loss, hope. The sound is more refined yet diverse in delivery styles. It appears the band had a few more things left to say, and our voices seem a little more confident this time around,” says bassist Jeff Leyda.
And there’s a belting remix by William Faith on there as well.
Get The Fall here. The album, Chandelier, is due in February.
