PEACHES BY LECTURES

The Strangles, The Presidents Of The United States Of America…. if you’re going to be that big, you need a song called Peaches. Kent four-piece Lectures hope to follow in their footsteps.

Experimental pop is Lectures’ stock-in trade and this track has an edge to take it away from pop’s mainstream. Lyrically, it’s an amoral attempt to justify privilege. Cynicism, sarcasm, tongue-in-cheek? Let them eat peaches? All pertinent questions which the artists leave to us the listeners to figure out. It’s all wrapped around a darkly hazy pop track with an incessant bass rhythm.

Peaches will feature on a five-track EP due out in October. Follow @lecturesmusic
