Following up their 2015 debut Hi-Fi Classics was always going to be a tough task for the mighty Meatraffle, but they’ve come up with a novel solution and a new song.

We first became aware of Meatraffle when they were supporting The Fat White Family, who in turn described them as “the best band in Britain right now”. Hi-Fi Classics was an instant hit round here, but if there was any pressure on to follow that up, they have removed it by saying that they’re going to avoid second-album syndrome by simply skipping the second one and going straight to album three.
Of the new track, they say “Brother is about the platonic love you have with your friends (sex is forbidden). It’s about sharing and having things in common. The ups and downs, of course – about who buys more rounds of drinks than the others. It’s a dry orgy, that’s all it is.”
Can’t wait for the new LP.
