Look, far be it from us to criticise, but if we’d had 22 years to come up with an album title, we’d do far more than go the eponymous route. But Slowdive are Slowdive and will do what they want. Anyway, what’s inside is more interesting.

Since the previous album in 1995, Pygmalion, the band went their different ways, but came back together in 2014. All the elements remain, slightly shifted about and rearranged, but all present and correct. Tip-top quality shoegaze that’s unlikely to be matched any time soon.
